Stake’s fees
With Stake, you’ll always know the fees we charge every time you transact.
This includes showing you the exact fees you pay on any FX transfer, on your account (e.g. the US Tax form), or with any premium memberships (e.g. Stake Black).
You can see our fees (FX, Membership Packs etc.) on our pricing page.
Regulatory fees
When trading on the US market, there are regulatory fees when it comes to selling shares. These are charged independently to Stake's fees and are automatically applied. If you’re not paying these, you’re not trading in the US for real!
These sell side fees are:
- SEC Fee (sell side only), of $0.2290 per US$10,000 of sale proceeds, rounded to the nearest cent.
- FINRA's TAF Fee (sell side only): $0.000130 per share with a per-transaction cap of $6.49, rounded to the nearest cent.
You will see these recorded on trade confirmations and statements.
ADR fees
If you invest in an American Depository Receipt (ADRs), they may be subject to periodic fees. These fees are intended to compensate the agent bank providing custodial services on behalf of the ADR, and are usually in the range $0.01 - $0.03 per share.
In ADRs which pay dividends, the fee will be deducted from the dividend. For an ADR which does not pay a dividend, fees will be reflected on your monthly statement.
You can review ADR prospectuses by searching through SEC's company search.
